Home Inspections

Certified Residential Inspectors provides in-depth home inspections, where we will carefully examine the interior and exterior of the residence, with special attention to known construction issues in the area. If you are able to attend the home inspection, we will deliver an oral report of our findings. And whether you are able to attend or not, we provide an extremely thorough and detailed written report to you within 48 hours.

CRI provides home inspections for pre-listings and new construction, as well. We also offer pre-drywall inspections for your new construction home — and that comes with a discount on your final home inspection!

Radon Testing

Radon is a cancer-causing, radioactive gas that you cannot see, or smell, or taste, and is estimated to cause many thousands of deaths each year. The Surgeon General has warned that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States today (only smoking causes more lung cancer deaths). If you smoke and your home has high radon levels, your risk of lung cancer is especially high.

Radon comes from the natural radioactive breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water and gets into the air you breathe. It is found all over the U.S. and it can get into any type of building - homes, offices, and schools - and result in a high indoor radon level. But you and your family are most likely to get your greatest exposure at home, where you spend most of your time.

You should test for radon! Testing is the only way to know if you and your family are at risk from radon. The EPA and the Surgeon General recommend testing schools, and all homes below the third floor for radon. Radon testing is easy to add on to any home inspection!
